As a matter of fact, there were only two more episodes broadcast after that, so if this was indeed a jump the shark moment, TOS managed to hold it off until the very end.Janushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01017944123176015662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8044318176622758692.post-33868124050827274122012-03-09T11:06:15.978-05:002012-03-09T11:06:15.978-05:00I'm used to Google's voice recognition tak...I'm used to Google's voice recognition taking a few liberties for humor.Dustinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15590811467601049788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8044318176622758692.post-83931169083141378052012-03-09T11:06:12.658-05:002012-03-09T11:06:12.658-05:00its a real screencap. if you have netflix streami...its a real screencap. if you have netflix streaming, check for yourself.

Now if the caption itself was a joke, um, who knows.A.W.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10876021589516844048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8044318176622758692.post-54345643771019918312012-03-09T10:38:13.199-05:002012-03-09T10:38:13.199-05:00I have a few years on you, my friend, so my Star T...I have a few years on you, my friend, so my Star Trek experience is somewhat different. Remember, this was before Star Wars, so basically all we had in the early 1970s was the original series in syndication. You can only imagine how psyched we ("we" meaning, ten year old boys) were when Star Trek came out as a cartoon! And with the real voices! We were able to tolerate the birdmanthing, if only because we got to see the tribbles again!

The animated series was way of canon/cannon indeed, but this was the pioneering days of sci-fi fandom. The concept of even having consistency was unheard of -- the creative people didn't care; neither did the audience much. Before DVDs or VCRs, TV shows were thought of as disposable. You simply couldn't get to know the shows well enough to see glaring inconsistencies.

As for the subtitles, really? Is that a joke?Ken Ashfordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00288895770874372009noreply@blogger.com
