The “Journalist” Bill Schmalfeldt (II)

This is the latest post in what I half-jokingly call The Kimberlin Saga^®.  If you are new to the story, that’s okay! Not everyone reads my blog.  The short version is that Kimberlin has been harassing me for over a year, his worst conduct being when he attempted to frame me for a crime.  I recognize that this might sound like an incredible claim, but I provide video and documentary evidence of that fact; in other words, you don’t have to believe my word.  You only have to believe your eyes.  So, if you are new to the story, go to this page and you’ll be able to catch up on what has been happening.

So a while back, I pointed out that Bill Schmalfeldt is not a journalist in a post called “The ‘Journalist’ Bill Schmalfeldt.”  In it, I pointed out how Bill Schmuckfeldt thought it was some kind of revelation when someone told him something... that was already on my blog.  In that case, it was the fact at the time that I was helping Seth Allen, which was named in numerous posts.  When someone pointed the fact I was helping Seth Allen out to him, he thought it was a terrible, damaging admission, when it was nothing of the sort.  It just meant I was an attorney helping a client, pro bono.

Go ahead, read that prior piece for review if you are inclined, because the same pattern is about to be repeated.

You see, there is a person on the internet who writes as “@KimberlinUnmask” and this person, (or persons, I suppose), apparently runs a website called Kimberlin Unmasked.  And for a while people have wondered who this person is because every person who angers Brett Kimberlin must be identified, or something.  Seriously, can Team Kimberlin explain why this person’s identity matters a damn?

Anyway, one of the people they have claimed this person was, is me.  You know, because I need an additional identity to talk about Kimberlin because... why exactly?  Have I ever been shy about talking about Kimberlin?  What purpose would it even serve?

Anyway, today Bill Schmalfeldt decided he had the proof that Kimberlin Unmasked was actually me because he had seekrit information no one else had.  So Schmalfeldt tweets this out:

As hopefully you can see, the tweet contains a picture of a tweet that Kimberlin Unmasked discussing an email between Brett Kimberlin and my former attorney Reginald Bours.  Kimberlin is the “he” in that sentence.  Therefore that proves I must be Kimberlin Unmasked because I am the only person who has seen that email...

I mean besides Reginald Bours...  any secretaries or receptionists he has and... the entire world!!!

You see I published that exact email at my site on July 18, 2012.  You can read it here, and you will see that literally everything Kimberlin Unmasked said is contained in that post.  Indeed, as Kimberlin Unmasked himself (herself? Themselves?) pointed out, it was also quoted on the website Twitchy.  And if memory serves Patterico might have had a post on it, but this is officially too stupid to even waste my time googling to verify if my memory is accurate.

I suppose if I tweeted out that John F. Kennedy was shot by someone in the Book Depository in Dallas, Texas, Schmalfeldt would think I killed Kennedy, too.

So to any person who actually is seeking out the truth, all that Kimberlin Unmasked is proven is that he reads my site, or Twitchy.  Or maybe Patterico’s if my memory is correct.

But it gets dumber.  When I pointed out the fact that the contents of that email was public knowledge, Schmalfeldt declared that I was in denial:

This is the proof, as if you needed any, that Schmalfeldt is not even a little bit searching for the truth.  At this point, Kimberlin Unmasked had already made the simple and obvious point that the email had appeared on Twitchy, which in turn was linking back to me.  If Schmalfeldt was looking for the truth, he would have admitted that he made a mistake, it was a false alarm and moved on.  But just like when he falsely accused Seth Allen of doing what Brett Kimberlin accused John Norton of doing (and I don’t believe Norton did what Kimberlin accused him of, either), Schmalfeldt never corrects himself when proven wrong.  At best he might just stop saying it.

Schmalfeldt is not actually this stupid (though he is pretty stupid).  No, he is knowingly lying to us, pretending that something that isn’t evidence of anything is somehow proof.  Because he doesn’t care what the truth is.  He only cares about harassing those of us who told the truth about Brett Kimberlin until we stop doing so.

If you don’t believe me, go back to this post and read for yourself.  He has stated it openly... and then deleted the tweets.

Speaking of Kimberlin Unmasked, apparently his account has been gulaged by the forces of freedom supporting Team Kimberlin.  (Note: sarcasm.)  I will try to enlist the Twitter Gulag Defense Network to help him get back on.  Because no anti-Kimberlin voice should be silenced by that thug squad.

Disclaimer:

I have accused some people, particularly Brett Kimberlin, of reprehensible conduct.  In some cases, the conduct is even criminal.  In all cases, the only justice I want is through the appropriate legal process—such as the criminal justice system.  I do not want to see vigilante violence against any person or any threat of such violence.  This kind of conduct is not only morally wrong, but it is counter-productive.

In the particular case of Brett Kimberlin, I do not want you to even contact him.  Do not call him.  Do not write him a letter.  Do not write him an email.  Do not text-message him.  Do not engage in any kind of directed communication.  I say this in part because under Maryland law, that can quickly become harassment and I don’t want that to happen to him.

And for that matter, don’t go on his property.  Don’t sneak around and try to photograph him.  Frankly try not to even be within his field of vision.  Your behavior could quickly cross the line into harassment in that way too (not to mention trespass and other concerns).

And do not contact his organizations, either.  And most of all, leave his family alone.

The only exception to all that is that if you are reporting on this, there is of course nothing wrong with contacting him for things like his official response to any stories you might report.  And even then if he tells you to stop contacting him, obey that request.  That this is a key element in making out a harassment claim under Maryland law—that a person asks you to stop and you refuse.

And let me say something else.  In my heart of hearts, I don’t believe that any person supporting me has done any of the above.  But if any of you have, stop it, and if you haven’t don’t start.
