The Brett Kimberlin Saga:

Follow this link to my BLOCKBUSTER STORY of how Brett Kimberlin, a convicted terrorist and perjurer, attempted to frame me for a crime, and then got me arrested for blogging when I exposed that misconduct to the world. That sounds like an incredible claim, but I provide primary documents and video evidence proving that he did this. And if you are moved by this story to provide a little help to myself and other victims of Mr. Kimberlin’s intimidation, such as Robert Stacy McCain, you can donate at the PayPal buttons on the right. And I thank everyone who has done so, and will do so.

Blogger Defense Team Launches a Website to Fight (In Court) the Tactics of Team Kimberlin

As visitors of this site have known, Brett Kimberlin has been on a campaign of harassment in retaliation against me for 1) briefly and slightly representing someone who he was suing, and 2) for pointing out that he had committed perjury on November 14, 2011.  This has included attempting to get my wife and I killed, attempting to frame me for a crime, getting me arrested on false charges, and filing abusive peace orders against me in Maryland (see here).

After I was arrested, Dan Backer arranged with me to provide pro-bono legal help with this.  His big idea is that he wanted to not only defend my right to freedom of speech, but to put Brett Kimberlin on the defensive, both to vindicate my rights, and to vindicate others.  I cannot disclose all that he has planned—we cannot give the other side warning—but keep an eye on them.  They will be making news in the next few weeks.

But while it is free to me, it is not free to them.  I mean how long would you work at your job for free—when you have bills to pay and mouths to feed?  So in all bluntness, the more you donate to this cause the more they will be able to do.  So they have formed the Blogger’s Defense Team (BDT)...

(Note: This is not actually what they look like, nor do they have these uniforms.)

…And, joking aside, they have launched a website for this effort.  So bookmark them, spread the word around and if you can, please give to them.

And this is in supplement to the efforts of the National Bloggers Club, which is has set up a relief fund to help as well.

And thanks to everyone.  Thank you to Dan Backer (BDT) and Ali Akbar (NBC) for organizing these respective funds and to all of you who have given and will give.

And most of all, thank you to OccupyRebellion for being such a thug he/she/it has motivated people to give over $700 to BDT...

Their official press release sent out by email follows below the fold:

Bloggers Defense Team Launches Website, Raises $6000 towards Defense of Aaron Walker And Others Against Lawfare

Right Solutions, an independent 501c3, announces today the launch of a new website for its project to defend free speech and the rights of bloggers via the courts: http://BloggersDefenseTeam.com.

Led by attorneys Dan Backer and Steve Hoersting, The Bloggers Defense Team has already launched its initial legal salvos in defense of Aaron Walker, who has been the victim of lawfare and cyber-harassment at the hands of Brett Kimberlin, convicted domestic bomber and felon. Walker has been the target of multiple lawsuits for his writing about Kimberlin (a public figure), and was even briefly jailed for daring to engage in free speech journalism.  While this miscarriage of justice in Maryland state court was promptly overturned, Aaron Walker's fight continues unabated, as the freedoms of blogger journalists across America are still threatened.

In just two weeks since its launch, BDT has already filed a Federal complaint against Kimberlin and his unsavory lawfare tactics, raised over $6,000.00 in online donations and launched its informational website to reach out to the general public.  The Team has also filed a federal lawsuit in Maryland with local attorney Bruce Godfrey, and is preparing for additional legal action in Virginia, and nationwide, on behalf of other bloggers seeking help to defend their free speech.
The Bloggers Defense Team also continues to seek out and offer aid to others who may have been the victims of online harassment, lawfare, or other attempts to attack their free speech rights - which is an attack on every American's free speech.

For consideration of aid, media interviews, or other information, please contact the Blogger's Defense Team: bloggersdefense at bloggersdefenseteam dot com.

My wife and I have lost our jobs due to the harassment of convicted terrorist Brett Kimberlin, including an attempt to get us killed and to frame me for a crime carrying a sentence of up to ten years.  I know that claim sound fantastic, but if you read starting here, you will see absolute proof of these claims using documentary and video evidence.  If you would like to donate and help my wife and I in this time of need, please go to this donation page.  And thank you.

Follow me at Twitter @aaronworthing, mostly for snark and site updates.  And you can purchase my book (or borrow it for free if you have Amazon Prime), Archangel: A Novel of Alternate, Recent History here.  And you can read a little more about my novel, here.

Disclaimer:

I have accused some people, particularly Brett Kimberlin, of reprehensible conduct.  In some cases, the conduct is even criminal.  In all cases, the only justice I want is through the appropriate legal process—such as the criminal justice system.  I do not want to see vigilante violence against any person or any threat of such violence.  This kind of conduct is not only morally wrong, but it is counter-productive.

In the particular case of Brett Kimberlin, I do not want you to even contact him.  Do not call him.  Do not write him a letter.  Do not write him an email.  Do not text-message him.  Do not engage in any kind of directed communication.  I say this in part because under Maryland law, that can quickly become harassment and I don’t want that to happen to him.

And for that matter, don’t go on his property.  Don’t sneak around and try to photograph him.  Frankly try not to even be within his field of vision.  Your behavior could quickly cross the line into harassment in that way too (not to mention trespass and other concerns).

And do not contact his organizations, either.  And most of all, leave his family alone.

The only exception to all that is that if you are reporting on this, there is of course nothing wrong with contacting him for things like his official response to any stories you might report.  And even then if he tells you to stop contacting him, obey that request.  As you will see by the time I am done telling my story that this is a key element in making out a harassment claim under Maryland law—that a person asks you to stop and you refuse.

And let me say something else.  In my heart of hearts, I don’t believe that any person supporting me has done any of the above.  But if any of you have, stop it, and if you haven’t don’t start.

    This is absolutely wonderful news!

Will you or they set up a Twitter account to keep us informed or will you just continue as normal and include the Bloggers Defense Team info in your tweets.

#BrettKimberlin et al can only succeed by picking off individuals who don't have access to the funding, via far left groups, that they do and are therefore at such a disadvantage.

I don't know why I can't sign in here with my WordPress account but I post under that as Grammie so I'll just add my username at the top.

  2. This has included attempting to get my wife and I killed,

Wait, I thought you'd said that you didn't know exactly who was responsible for the SWATing, and that it was just as likely to have been a Kimberlin supporter as Kimberlin himself. Has new evidence on the matter come to light?

  3. 1) Made my donation. Sorry it can't be more.

    2) Matthew -- I believe he's referring to the effort to out Aaron in public records for and then making the claim that the availability of that information in the public record made him and his family/associates a target for Islamo-terrorism -- which was clearly his intent by dragging into the public record in the first place.

  4. This has included attempting to get my wife and I killed

Sorry to be anal, but the correct grammar is "attempting to get my wife and me killed."

Here's the rule. Take out "my wife." Would you write "attempting to get I killed" or "attempting to get me killed"? The addition of "my wife" to the sentence doesn't change the grammar.

  5. Aaron,

I see you have written a novel. I'm thinking of a novel of my own. I'll try to give you a brief synaposis.

The villian is a man is a son of a local doctor who pursued some easy money by dealing in heroin. He soon learns that even larger money is to be earned smuggling. Unfortunately for him, he was caught, convicted and sentenced to sixty years.

During his life of crime, a local reporter was closing in on his racket, so he had a fellow dealer kill her execution-style. Though he is suspected of the murder, he is never convicted. Not satisfied with the prison sentence for drug smuggling, the family of the reporter sues him and wins a judgment against him for over a million dollars.

The villian having lots of time on his hands spends increasing large amount of time in the law library. As the year pass he becomes somewhat of the proverbial jailhouse lawyer. Like every other jailhouse lawyer he files a series of appeals to win his freedom. What is unique is his imagination. He creates a fantasy world in which he was supporting CIA black ops with the drug money, but, was scapegoated by the President himself when the operations were exposed.

His story fascinates a magazine reporter whom offers him a large sum of money to serialize his story. Investigating the villian's claim the reporters realizes that his claims are fantasy, and serialized the life story of an upper-middle class kid turned drug dealer. Contractually obligated, the magazine pays him according to a contract he structured to evade paying the judgment against him. Instead of taking the payout, he directs the funds towards business projects in foreign countries, allowing him a cover for more smuggling operations, this time in the even more lucrative fields of intellectual property and human beings.

He is eventually paroled, but, is sent back to prison when the parole board discovers he refused to apply his royalties to the judgment. He is sent back to prison.

Released a second time, he formulates a new income scheme given the twin restraints that he is a convicted felon, and subject to garnishment and asset forfeiture at any moment. He decides to enter the lucrative business of political blackops and dirty tricks. His speciality is harassment. As a defacto lawyer he can serially ligate against targets on the behalf of his clients. And, as a de jure non-lawyer he is exempt from any professional codes of conduct. The one problem he has is standing. As a pro se ligate he can only sue on his own behalf. He works around this by provolking and/or fabricating conflicts with his client's enemies to personalize the conflict and gain standing.

  6. Continuing,

In order to defeat the judgment, he places his home under a relative's name, and claims to live in the small guest house in the back. In order to launder his income he forms two non-profits. The first is called "Justice through dance," and, the second "Army of Davids." They are empty shells with the primary purpose of accepting paying for his dirty tricks business. He grants himself a nominal salary too small to be garnished. He, also, grants himself, and his wife and children a very lavious lifestyle with monies diverted from the non-profit in a series of devious ways.

By naming his non-profit "Justice through dance" he gives his clients th opportunity to launder their payments by encouraging their friends and associates to donate to a worthy charity. In an amazing stroke of luck, he manages to have a famous Russian ballet defector donate to his non-profit. This gives his enterprise an aura of respectablity. Naming his other non-profit "Army of Davids" was particularly Orwellian. The Army of Davids toppled big media by exposing the truth. Our villians tactic was to spread disinformation on the internet, and, follow that up with lawfare.

As his reputation, and connects grew, so did his black ops business. His non-profit donations reached mid-six-figures. Life was good. Like Scarface he was at the top, and, like Scarface he has about to fall.

The event that started his downfall was when interpol thought a Sihk extremist had shaved his beard to avoid arrest. Using graphics software they created a wanted poster depicting a shaven suspect. Other Sihks deemed this an insult to their faith, and an international incident resulted. It, also, created a push back among those whom did not want to capitulate to what they considered threats and terrorism. One website operator even ran a contest encouraging readers to create shaved images of the suspect for publications.

Sihk extremists wanted revenge. They asked questioned and made inquiries until someone indentified our villian as the man for the job. On the behalf of the extremists, he started a massive lawfare assault against the website operator, and, anyone who tried to stay in the way.
Our hero, another blog operator, enters the story when stands behind the webmaster whom hosted the contest.

Our hero, a middle-class fellow receives his baptism by fire when his life is turned upside down. Fortunately for our hero, fellow website operators realize that it could just as easily been them that had been targeted for attack, and rally to his defense.

The story gets even more interesting. Publicity and exposure are an anathma to blacks ops. When the web operators used their strongest weapons publicity and exposure our villian begins to feel the heat, and, tries to use his lawfare skills to silence his critics. This only causes his critics to redouble their efforts.

This is where the novel becomes a political thriller. Our villians partner in his political black ops business have as dubious of pasts as our villian. They know each others secrets. The conspiracy begins to unravel as they realize it has a weak link. Blackmail, and the threat of blackmail, becomes the theme of the novel. Each member of the business can threaten to take down every other member, and, they all have the ability to expose their clients, and visa versa. The drama unfolds in courtrooms, though most of the action occurs behind the scenes as various backroom players try to further, or stop, the investigation. All this occurs in the backdrop of a political campaign.

  7. continuing,

I haven't figured out how the novel ends, yet. What I do know is that the hero takes some time to step back to review the big picture. There he notices that the villain's non-profit has a bookkeeping entry for "rent" that is orders of magnitude larger than the fair market rent of his relative's house, let alone the guest house in back [or, by IRS rules the percentage of that guest house used to run the nonprofit.] Like Al Capone, it is not the murder, lying, or corruption that is his downfall. It is the IRS.

Like any other work of fiction, any resemblance to any person living or dead is coincidence.

I hope you agree that it is an interesting story.
